Admiral Cain At Last Revealed! A Star Trek lieutenant gets promoted, but at what cost? July 7th 2005 12:01am | Posted by: Jim Iaccino, HNR Associate Editor As promised, Shaunomac delivered two major Battlestar Galactica spoilers this evening on his show Subject2Discussion at lvrocks. The first spoiler was that they have finally found an actress to play Admiral Cain aboard the Battlestar Pegasus. Michelle Forbes, no novice to the sci-fi television genre, will step into the shoes of the legendary figure. She played a recurring role on Star Trek: The Next Generation: that of Lieutenant Ro Laren, a Bajoran who proved to be a real pain in Captain Picard's side. Now it looks like she will be doing more of the same with Commander Adama, only this time the good lieutenant has received an elevated rank. The second, and just as equally interesting spoiler, was that in the follow-up episode to "Pegasus" (where Cain is introduced), we find out that Cain dies. As yet, no details have been disclosed as to what causes her death, only that it does occur. More information on Episode 211, entitled "Resurrection Ship," will be relayed to Flight Deck in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, fellow Colonial Warriors, brace yourself for what promises to be an awesome (and compelling) season of Battlestar Galactica on SCI FI.
