In issue #12 of "Smallville Magazine", Smallville TV series executive producer Miles Millar was asked what other DC Comics characters, in addition to 'The Flash', 'Aquaman' and 'Cyborg' , will be appearing on the series.
"One character we may bring to the show is the 'Martian Manhunter'," said Millar.
The background of 'J'onn J'onzz', aka 'Martian Manhunter', has him affiliated with the superhero team 'The Justice League Of America', while independently operating out of a Martian pyramid, located in the Gobi Desert.
J'onn is green, 6' 7" tall and weighs 300 lbs. His eyes are a mix of black and red, with a voice described as "sand blowing across a desolate Martian vista, utterly alien, yet strangely comforting".
As a 'shape-shifter' J'onn maintains cover identities around the world so he can "study humanity".
His advanced physical abilities give him superstrength, speed, invisibility and telepathic mind control.
He can project an energy beam from his eyes called 'Martian Vision', but has a primal fear of fire.
His enemies include his brother 'Malefic', the engineer of the 'Hronmeer's Curse' plague and an alien armada known as 'The Swarm'.
