Strike Out To Do The Right Thing prequel based on Carpenter film September 11th 2006 07:27pm | Posted by: Michael Stevens, HNR Senior Editor According to reports, Strike Entertainment, producers of remake Dawn of the Dead, Slither and upcoming comic book-to-film 300, are developing a prequel to director John Carpenter's 1982 horror film The Thing, based on author John W. Campbell's short story Who Goes There? Since the film's original release, Dark Horse Comics continued the stories of the intergalactic 'thing' in a graphic novel miniseries throughout the 1990's.
