In a world beleaguered by social and economic unrest, former DEA agent 'Jane Vasco', a.k.a. "Painkiller Jane" (Kristanna Loken) is recruited by a covert government agency dedicated to neutralizing 'Neuros': individuals with powers ranging from telekinesis and mind persuasion to imposed hallucinations. But Jane also has formidable powers.
