FreshTV Developing Live Action 6Teen
with Teletoon, Nelvana and CTF Fund...

Toronto-based production house FreshTV Inc. is in development with Teletoon Canada inc. and Nelvana, supported by a grant from the Canadian Television Fund, to produce a 6Teen live-action feature film.

The animated sitcom about six teens who work in a shopping mall is a ratings winner with kids 6-11 and has been a staple of the network’s schedule for the past three years, with a total of 95 half-hours ordered to date.

Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch, creators of 6Teen and the animated Total Drama Island are currently writing the new screenplay.

Principal photography is scheduled for fall 2009, with casting to begin later this year.

6Teen was originally produced by Nelvana, with FreshTV producing later
episodes.

FreshTV offers 2D and 3D production services through Elliott Animation located in Toronto.

Teletoon is available in English and French in over 7.2 million Canadian homes, available On Demand and on Mobile TV, investing more than 180 million dollars in the creation, development and production of Canadian content...
