HNR received some great shots from ‘Donald the Explorer’ and ‘FilmSetGuy’ taken in the Science World area of Downtown Vancouver where the Fantastic Four crew are setting up a large rigging system to hang a fire truck from the air for one of the finale sequences currently being shot.

The night shots are courtesy of ‘Donald the Explorer’ who also provided the following report.

Filming was happening by the empty lot next to Science World by W. 1st Avenue. There was a fire truck hanging upside down on a large crane. Lots of trailers parked in the area.

Followed VDI signs to parking lot next to Helijet office by downtown harbour. NYC police cars, fire trucks, taxis and props were stored there.

They've been picking up the fake rubber glass off the street each morning. Heard this stuff was really hard to clean-up. Someone mentioned that filming downtown would end on Friday, and then go in studio, and then back to North Van.

The daytime shots are from ‘FilmSetGuy’ who had the following to say about the scene.

The shot calls for a fireman to be thrown off of the ladder and fall
down 20 storeys. But using special angles and blue screens, he really
falls 8 feet.
