July 7th 2009 04:14am | Posted by: Michael Stevens, HNR Senior Editor Actor Peter "Six Feet Under" Krause has joined Mary-Kate Olsen, Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens in Beastly, a CBS Films feature adaptation of author Alex Flinn's 2007 fantasy novel, currently shooting in Montreal. Director is Daniel Barnz, working from his scripted adaptation of the novel, a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale, now set in modern-day New York City. Author Flinn researched several versions of the Beauty and the Beast story, while writing her book, with many of those stories playfully alluded to in portions of the novel. Beastly is the first project to be put into production by CBS Films, produced by Susan Cartsonis through her Storefront Films, scheduled for a July 30, 2010 release...
