The new show, titled 2013 is in development with Mark "Grey's Anatomy" Gordon attached as executive producer. Emmerich said the show will be set in 2013, focusing on the planet's survivors, attempting to resettle the earth after the world-shaking events of 2012. He said that 2012 the movie addresses the varied reactions people have in the face of disaster, who should survive, how to carry on and what parts of our culture do we save.
