March 8th 2005 11:19pm | Posted by: Michael Stevens, HNR Senior Editor The Toronto-filmed zombie horror feature Resident Evil: Apocalypse has been named winner of the annual 'Golden Reel Award', presented by government-run Telefilm Canada to the Canadian film with the highest domestic box office. Resident Evil: Apocalypse grossed more than $6 million during the qualifying period, from October 2003 to October 2004. The award will be presented to the producers at the 2005 Genie Awards March 21.
