Kal-El, the last infant son of the doomed planet Krypton, is placed in a spaceship and sent to Earth. Someday, he'll master his powers and understand his true calling. But before the legend—before the icon—there was a teenager named Clark Kent growing up in the little town of Smallville Kansas, trying to balance his extraordinary emerging abilities with the complications of adolescence.
Tom Welling made his series-starring debut in Smallville as a teenage Clark Kent struggling to come to grips with his emerging super powers. |
|
Born and raised in New York, Welling got his first big break in 1999 with a six-episode romantic arc opposite Amy Brenneman on Judging Amy. He landed the role of Smallville's Clark Kent after a nationwide search for a fresh face to play the part.
Welling has relocated to Vancouver while filming the series. When not working, he enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends and running.

Lana Lang, the girl next door in the hamlet of Smallville, Kansas and the object of Clark Kent’s affection, is intelligent, gorgeous…and always seemingly a heartbeat away from trouble of one kind or another.
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Kreuk began acting in high school plays, but mostly focused on her schoolwork rather than the stage. Fate came calling at the beginning of her senior year when a casting director looking for new talent for the television series Edgemont tapped Kreuk for a starring role. It was her first professional audition. She starred on the Canadian series for three seasons. In 2002, she was chosen as one of the new faces of Neutrogena and appeared in an advertising campaign for the company. |
|
Kreuk currently lives in Vancouver and when not working enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Chillingly polite and affable, the young Lex Luthor is a study in contrast: friendly and kind one moment, coiled and calculating the next…a direct result, perhaps, of his father Lionel Luthor’s two-faced tutelage. After being rescued by Clark Kent during an automobile accident, the young Lex and the teenage Clark form an early – yet unlikely – friendship.
Self-assured and possessed with a rapid-fire sense of humor, Michael Rosenbaum shaved his blond locks for the role he seems born to play - a young Lex Luthor in Smallville.
Born in Oceanside, New York, and raised in Newburgh, Indiana, Rosenbaum excelled in high school drama classes. Once hooked, he took on lead roles in college stage productions such as The Heidi Chronicles while attending Western Kentucky University and performing in regional theater during his summers. |
|
Upon graduation with a degree in Mass Communications and Theater, he packed his bags and headed for New York to pursue acting. He quickly landed roles in off-Broadway productions and small independent films, and soon segued into regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in a sketch called The Amsterdam Kids.
His first real break came when he got a series regular role on The WB comedy series The Tom Show, with Tom Arnold. The relationship with the network continued as he was cast as Jack in the New York comedy Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane.
Keeping busy over his hiatus, Rosenbaum appeared in the feature film Bringing Down the House opposite Steve Martin. He can be seen in the independent film Poolhall Junkies with Chazz Palminteri and Christopher Walken. Other film credits include Sorority Boys with 7th Heaven's Barry Watson and Sweet November with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. He also starred in the hit thriller Urban Legend and appeared in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Kevin Spacey and John Cusack.
Rosenbaum currently resides in Los Angeles. When not working, he belongs to an ice hockey league, a sport that he has played since childhood, and is a dedicated New York Rangers fan.

Pretty, plucky and always with a nose for a story, Chloe Sullivan – not surprisingly – is Lois Lane’s cousin and the Editor of Smallville High’s newspaper, The Torch. She is also one of Clark’s closest friends, though she’d like to be more.
Allison Mack was born on July 29 in Germany and moved to Southern California at the age of 2. Her acting career began at age 4 with some commercials and print advertising. At 7, she began studying at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles.
Allison has accumulated many credits in movies and television in the years since. She's guest starred on TV programs like 7th Heaven and Providence. An episode of the short-lived series Kate Brasher in early 2001 featured Allison prominently. |
