hi casumak...guess it depends on what your version of metal music is..I'm a big fan of all types of music .
Some people classify Metallica or Slayer or Pantera or even Guns and Roses as
metal while others just roll their eyes and say, "That's not metal"...
So what are ya into casumak?
Oh by the way if you like Metal did you see the concert tickets up for grabs to see: Killswitch Engage / DragonForce / Chimaira, Live In Vancouver on March 28th, House of Blues?
Win Tickets clicky clicky herecome on..I can't believe we have no
metalheads in the house here...

I kinda agree with ice here on different people has diff. opinions of what's metal. I'd say Metallic, Slayer, Guns & Roses, etc, is old school metal. Todays metal is a lot heavier, they were probally heavy for their time. Me, myself I'm not one to be all crazy about a "band" I rarely like more than a song or too from certain bands so I just say I like a variety. I'm not into anything super heavy thou. I like my music, fast, hard & good thou! Some examples: Buckcherry, Korn, Guns & Roses, AC/DC, Rock n Roll Soldiers, 3 doors down, Aerosmith, Puddle of mud, ZZ top, the list goes on & on..............

A good mellow rock band is him they have some pretty decent songs. Thanks for the link to win the tickets i'm gonna enter that as soon as i'm done writin out my reply. Ice are u a grip?

Personally my love of music is spread over a large variety of bands. I like just about anything but country or classical lol. My CD collection includes stuff from the likes of Metallica, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade, AFI, Lostprophets, Idle Sons, Distrubed and on and on. But it also beleive it or not has stuff from Aphrodite, Wyclef Jean, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Nelly Furtado, and Swollen Members. Very eclectic. Even though I don't know how to spell the word. But utlimately my favourite is always the rock/metal stuff. I may drift into the other genres for a few days here or there but I always love a good loud song hehe.

I have to agree with Zzeil on my taste of music changes for a few days, because of latley i've been listing to some techno and a rap cd here or there. Why are the forums so slow latley?

Feb 15 2007, 08:39 AM
Not sure why it is slow lately...we need to have a topic maybe that gets everyone fired up enough to throw in their 10 cents 'cause their 2 cents are free..(darn I just quoted eminem again..

)
I got that song stuck in my head of eminem, 50 and lloyd banks ..." You know, you actin like you don't know, I tear the club up fo sho,.. this flow is gonna bring more dough, And you know but you actin like you don't know...
So what song is stuck in your head today??anyone??

I'd say u definetly listen to HEAVY metal, Casumak! I don't generally listen to music that heavy. Lamb of God is actually the only one I've heard outta them. Redneck, & Walk with me in Hell, They're not that bad.

Okay Z...that is weird because that one was stuck in my head earlier this week until the eminem one!!
I had to listen to the eminem one over and over just to get the "arms race" one outta my head for even a couple of minutes!
I had it stuck in my head soooo much I "shared" it into my mp3 player and I'm sure I could sing the darn song backwards now....ooooh now it's back in my head again!

Just curious if anyone here has heard of the band Breaking Benjamin before? I discovered them in bout mid 2004 when their second album, We Are Not Alone, came out. Recently their third album Phobia came out. These guys are awesome. All the yahoo link has is 3 music videos, 2 (Sooner or Later, & So Cold) are from We Are Not Alone, and the other (Polyamorous) is from their first album, Saturate.
http://search.ca.music.yahoo.com/search/?m...eaking+benjaminI managed to find some others on Youtube that someone put up.
No video but the sound is really good.
Saturate:

Phobia:
If you haven't heard of them I suggest checking out the songs... I bet ya won't regret it.

Well, i've heard Breaking Benjamins before, and honestly, i really didn't liked it. No offence Zzeill. I still prefer Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Matchbook Romance, Brand New, Anberlin and specialy Coheed & Cambria. They really rock! I f you haven't heard their music yet, i suggest you do so now. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I totally agree w/ you on that one Casumak. Have you heard/seen the acoustic version of Welcome Home? Man, it's really Dope! I also love their song "Light and the Glass", that's why it's my user name (obviously!). Somehow i can relate to it, i mean the lyrics of the song (light and the glass). Coheed and Cambria's really awesome!

Well finally got that one out... and yes I did get the Eminem one you linked burned in there for a while lol, I actually have the Re-Up, not bad. The song I've currently got stuck in my head is
Prayer of a Refugee by Rise Against. I'm not sure if it's a single or not, I can't get CFOX up here, and I don't really watch MuchMusic to much. I just have the album, heard it off of that.

I'm guessing that it might be though, seeing as there is an actual video attached to the song on YouTube here lol. Either way, good song.
Here's a few other tracks by these guys if you haven't heard their stuff before.
